Recap:  NSS-NT President Cynthia Whisennand gave her presentation – prior to August 21, 2017 – on the Total Solar Eclipse, which could be viewed from Oregon to South Carolina:  coast to coast in the USA.  Before the millions of Americans who lived in – and everyone else who traveled to – the Path of Totality, Dr. Whisennand explained what they would see (with Eclipse Glasses or a pinhole camera) and why they would see it.  Millions of other people in North America had the opportunity to witness the partial solar eclipse.  At the 75% coverage experienced in the Dallas-Ft. Worth (DFW) Metroplex, even the partial eclipse was an impressive sight.

Also, NSS-NT is organizing the TX-Central Regional Space Development Conference here in the DFW Metroplex, on Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas DFW Airport North.  This is an Earth, Moon, Mars, and Stars discussion!  NSS-NT has scheduled at least one space celebrity among our speakers!  Event details are provided in this link and will also be announced in separate NSS-NT posts.

NSS-NT meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month (except December) beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the large banquet room at Spring Creek BBQ-Irving, 3514 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, TX  75062 (eastbound Hwy. 183 service road, across Hwy. 183 from the Irving Mall, just before Belt Line Rd).

Spread the word:  new, and established, Space Peeps are always encouraged to attend!
