Recap: NSBE Space Project Management Meeting, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Univ., Daytona Beach, FL, Aug. 8
Recap: Per invitations from the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in Daytona Beach, Florida, NSS Director Ken Ruffin, and several NASA, Commercial Spaceflight, and public relations representatives, gave presentations at their National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Space Project Management Meeting. After a tour of the aerospace and spaceflight facilities on campus, the invited speakers gave presentations to the ERAU president, several ERAU deans and students, and an executive from nearby Bethune-Cookman University.
Ken Ruffin gave an abbreviated version of his presentation on the Milestones to Space Settlement: An NSS Roadmap. This presentation describes the National Space Society’s recommendations for the settlement of space, including activities in Earth orbit, on the Moon, using asteroids, settling Mars, Space-Based Solar Power, Space Colonies, and finally adAstra (to the Stars).
