“Space: 2017” for the January 8 NSS-NT Meeting
There are literally dozens of space missions scheduled to be launched in 2017. Also, there are significantly more space missions which continue to operate in space for years – or decades. Whether or not space travel and space development get sufficient news media coverage, you can continue to count on the award-winning National Space Society of North Texas (NSS-NT) to provide “the latest and greatest information in space development” to audiences in the Dallas-Ft. Worth (DFW) Metroplex, and beyond!
This NSS-NT meeting is on Sunday, January 8, featuring Space: 2017 presented by NSS Director Ken Ruffin. Topics include the new NASA, Commercial Spaceflight, and international space missions that “space enthusiasts” around the world have been anticipating. Also, some notable space mission anniversaries are acknowledged. Later, during the business meeting, NSS-NT President Cynthia Whisennand leads the discussion of the preliminary 2017 schedule for NSS-NT space events at planetariums, museums, conferences, etc. Additionally, NSS-NT is planning a Regional Space Development Conference here in the Metroplex, and we may have a space celebrity among our speakers. If most of the NSS-NT plans are successful, 2017 will be an impressive year for highlighting the coolness of space for the DFW Metroplex, and beyond! Do you want details? Come to the meeting!
NSS-NT meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month (except December) beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the large banquet room at Spring Creek BBQ-Irving, 3514 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, TX 75062 (eastbound Hwy. 183 service road, across Hwy. 183 from the Irving Mall, just before Belt Line Rd).
Spread the word: visitors, members – and former members – are encouraged to attend!
