“International Observe the Moon Night” and “World Space Week” event, UTA Planetarium, Oct. 8
The National Space Society of North Texas (NSS-NT) is proud to be hosted by the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) Planetarium for a combined event for both International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN) and World Space Week, on Saturday, October 8, 2016, from 2-8 p.m, during the UTA Parent and Family Weekend.
NSS-NT has display tables with magazines, lithographs (flyers), magnets, and more, from NASA and the National Space Society. Also, NSS-NT members speak to students, professors, parents, and families about current and upcoming missions from NASA and Commercial Spaceflight companies.
Additionally, NSS Director Ken Ruffin presents The Moon, Asteroids, and Mars: The Future of Spaceflight under the planetarium dome from 4-5 p.m
This is a rare opportunity to celebrate two space events at the same time. Share the flyer for this two-for-one event:
If you still need more space . . . then be a guest at the NSS-NT meeting on Sunday, October 9, and see the presentation Remembering the Space Shuttle by NSS-NT President Cynthia Whisennand.
