Who says that being an astronaut isn’t the coolest job ever?

The Sunday, August 9, 2015 National Space Society of North Texas (NSS-NT) meeting presentation is I Still Want to be an Astronaut!

See the plans by two Commercial Spaceflight companies – as well as NASA – to launch astronauts into space from American soil, once again.

These topics are addressed as Chapter Secretary Grace Roeber gives the presentation on Sunday, August 9, 2015, at 3:30 p.m. at Spring Creek BBQ-Irving, 3514 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, TX  75062 (eastbound Hwy. 183 service road, across Hwy. 183 from the Irving Mall, before Belt Line Rd).

Also, find out about the following space-related events here in the DFW Metroplex, such as:  FenCon XII (an annual and local science fiction/fantasy/space conference) from September 25-27.  Also during the Saturday of that weekend, the annual Waxahachie Chautauqua, in which this year’s event is themed Chautauqua Celebrates Flight, is on Sept. 26.  NSS-NT members participate with display tables, panel discussions, and/or presentations at these events.  Oh, and a different NASA Astronaut is present at each event as well!

Get details about these and other local space events during the monthly meeting with the DFW’s Award-winning NSS chapter!
